HOME MADE HUMMUS

Hummus Plate
I love hummus, my hubby loves hummus even Kikkoman and Wasabi (our cats) love hummus!

Healthy, light, easy to make. The perfect combination.

I've decided to make it without tahina, first because I did't find it at the super market, second I like it more thick.

Home Made Hummus

I didn't use canned chickpeas, so I had to soak them the previous night and I cook them till tender.

After that, the preparation took more or less 5 minutes. Terrific, isn't it?

Ingredients:
Hummus without tahina
  • Chickpeas
  • Garlic
  • Lemon
  • EVO Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Preparation:

  • Blend all ingredients together in a mixer, adding slow by slow the olive oil, till you obtain a smooth consistency. If too thick add little bit of water. Done!

Top it with some Olive Oil and a pinch of paprika or chilly powder.

Hummus, pita bread, salad, tacos and spicy guacamole

I serve it with pita bread, salad, tacos and spicy guacamole.
